Quick answer

What does MuleSoo cost, how long does it take, and what do I end up owning?

MuleSoo websites start from R3,500, AI chatbots from R2,500 and AI automation systems from R4,500, all quoted in South African Rand at a fixed price agreed before any work begins. Websites typically launch in two to four weeks, AI chatbots in one to three weeks and logos in five to ten days. A 50% deposit secures the booking and is credited in full toward the fee, with the balance due on delivery, by card or Instant EFT through Paystack or by bank transfer. Every project includes 30 days of free support after launch, and once it is paid in full you own the domain and the complete source code outright, with no monthly licence fee.

Pricing and quotes

Starting prices in South African Rand. The final figure depends on scope, and you get a fixed quote before any work begins.

How much does a website cost with MuleSoo?

A MuleSoo website starts from R3,500. Business sites — more pages, advanced animations and an AI chatbot included — start from R7,500, and larger enterprise builds are quoted on scope. What moves the price is the number of pages, whether you need e-commerce or booking functionality, and how much content has to be written or migrated. You get a fixed quote before any work begins, so the number does not move afterwards.

How much does an AI chatbot or an AI automation system cost?

AI chatbots start from R2,500 and full AI automation systems from R4,500. The chatbot price depends on how many services the assistant must understand, whether it takes payments or deposits, and whether it connects to WhatsApp as well as your website. Automation systems are chosen from 200 ready-to-build systems across 9 industries, then fitted to how your business actually runs.

What do the smaller services cost?

Logo and brand identity starts from R800, branded QR codes from R300 and custom business email setup from R400. A logo includes original concepts, revisions until it is right, and every file format needed for print and screen. QR codes are branded, trackable and dynamic, so you can change where a printed code points without reprinting a single menu or flyer.

Which services are quoted per project instead of having a starting price?

Custom web and mobile apps, Auto Pilot business systems and Digital ID systems are quoted per project. The honest answer depends entirely on what the system has to do — a gym and a clinic need different things from the same Auto Pilot build. You get a fixed quote after a scoping conversation rather than an estimate that grows during the build.

Are there hidden fees, commissions or monthly licence costs?

No. The quote you agree before work starts is the price, and there is no monthly licence fee on what MuleSoo builds you. MuleSoo charges no per-transaction commission on the bookings or payments your system takes, so your revenue stays yours; your own payment provider still takes its normal processing fee, as it would anyway. Ongoing maintenance is available but always optional.

Process and timelines

What happens between your first message and the day your system goes live, and how long each part of it takes.

How long does a project take?

Websites typically launch in two to four weeks, AI chatbots in one to three weeks and logos in five to ten days. Custom apps usually have a first working version in four to ten weeks, built in milestones with a demo at each one, so you see it working long before it is finished. Exact timelines are agreed during the consultation rather than discovered as the project goes along.

What happens after I send an enquiry?

You get a reply within 2 hours on business days, followed by a free consultation about your goals, timeline and budget. Out of that you receive a scope, a fixed price and a delivery date before you commit to anything. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm SAST, and Saturday 9am to 1pm.

How many revisions are included?

Every project includes up to three rounds of revisions, and logo design includes unlimited revisions on the direction you choose. Structured rounds are what keep the project landing on the date that was agreed, rather than drifting on open-ended feedback. If a change falls outside the agreed scope, you are told what it costs before it is built — never afterwards.

Can you redesign a website I already have?

Yes. MuleSoo can redesign your current site, migrate your content, improve its SEO and add new features. Existing search rankings are protected during the move rather than rebuilt from scratch afterwards.

Where we work

MuleSoo is based in Pretoria, Gauteng, and every project runs remotely — for clients in South Africa, Ethiopia and worldwide.

Where is MuleSoo based, and do you work remotely?

MuleSoo Digital Services is based in Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa, and every project runs remotely. Clients in Johannesburg, across Gauteng, nationwide, in Ethiopia and internationally are all served the same way — over WhatsApp, email and video calls. In-person meetings in Pretoria are possible when a project genuinely needs one.

Do you work with businesses in Ethiopia and the rest of Africa?

Yes, and the work is already in the market rather than planned. Telga is a merchant vending platform built for Ethiopian shops and deployed at telga.pro, and the Hamere Noh Kidane Mihret parish site, Shime Events and Yewogen Derash are all live Ethiopian-community projects. Prices are the same for Ethiopian clients as for South African ones, quoted in Rand.

Can a website or chatbot work in Amharic or another language?

Yes, and it already does on shipped work. Telga runs fully bilingual in English and Amharic, the Hamere Noh Kidane Mihret parish site treats both languages as equals rather than as a translation layer, and the Shime Events AI assistant holds an entire booking conversation in either language. A MuleSoo chatbot can reply in whichever language a customer opens with, and which languages it covers is agreed with you during setup so its answers are checked rather than guessed.

Does a time difference cause problems for clients outside South Africa?

Rarely. Projects run asynchronously over WhatsApp and email, so nobody waits for a shared working hour, and enquiries still get a reply within 2 hours on business days. East Africa Time is only one hour ahead of South African Standard Time, so an Ethiopian working day overlaps almost entirely with MuleSoo office hours.

Paying for the work

A 50% deposit secures your slot, the balance falls due on delivery, and nothing is charged that was not in the quote.

How do I pay, and what payment methods do you accept?

A 50% deposit secures your booking and the remaining 50% is due on delivery, so you only pay the second half once the work is complete. You can pay by card or Instant EFT through Paystack, or by ordinary bank transfer. The deposit is credited in full toward your total project fee, so it is never an extra charge on top of the price you were quoted.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, on larger projects. Payment can be split rather than paid in two halves, and the Auto Pilot System is also available as a monthly subscription instead of a once-off build you own. Tell us your budget during the consultation and the scope is fitted to it — launch smaller now, add features later.

Is the deposit refundable if I cancel?

No. If you proceed, the deposit forms part of your project fee and is never lost; if you cancel after paying it, the deposit is non-refundable and forfeited. That is what reserves your place in the build schedule and holds the delivery date.

Ownership and support after launch

You own what you paid for, including the source code, and every project carries 30 days of free support after it goes live.

Do I own the website, app or system after it is built?

Yes, completely, once the project is paid in full. You own the domain, the design and the full source code, with no licence fee and no lock-in, and you can hand the code to another developer at any point. MuleSoo only asks to show completed work in its portfolio.

What support do I get after launch, and what if something breaks later?

Every project includes 30 days of free support for bug fixes after launch. After that you can take a maintenance package at a fixed rate, or ad-hoc support at R250 an hour. Because you own the source code, you are never obliged to keep paying MuleSoo to keep your own system running — another developer can step in at any time.

Privacy, POPIA and your data

South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act is treated as part of the architecture, not a banner bolted on after launch.

Is a MuleSoo website POPIA compliant?

Yes. Consent is asked for before any non-essential cookie is set rather than assumed from a visit, the consent record carries an auditable timestamp, personal data is stored securely, and visitors can ask for their data to be erased. Refusing or withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. The same approach also satisfies GDPR and the ePrivacy rules for visitors in the EU and UK.

What does MuleSoo do with my information when I enquire?

Your details are used to answer your enquiry and deliver the service you asked for, and nothing is sold, traded or rented to third parties. You can ask to access, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing hello@mulesoo.com. The full detail, including what is collected and how long it is kept, is in the privacy policy.

Where to read the longer answer

Each service page carries its own detail — what is included, how the build runs and the questions specific to that piece of work.
